WOW - it's amazing to me what I have learned in the 4 years about affiliate marketing since I posted that topic above. Surprisingly enough - that opportunity is still running strong if you are into promoting those items. The one update or mistake I think I made in the above post was to say that you have to have a website and you have to place banners on it.

Having a website is not necessary with affiliate programs like that one because you can send emails, post your affiliate link on blogs, forums, myspace and facebook pages... There are many other ways to have online success WITHOUT having a website. I suppose I thought back then that having your own website was where it's at - but that's not necessarally true.
